Show me another »What is the fastest and best way to get to San Diego from Santa Barbara California in a car?
Went to google maps but directions have me going through L.A. and such. Wondering if you guys know any faster ways. Thank you so much

Yes, of course. Be creative and think outside the box. Indeed, LA is in the way and the traffic is horrible. Put the car on a plane and fly there.

- Since LA is between San Diego and Santa Barbara it would make sense that you go thru there.33% 1 Vote
- 101 to I-5 or 101 to 405 is the way. The trick is the when. It can take three to six hours. A weekday at night is good. The middle of the night is the best.
Go on line first and check out the traffic. An accident can back you up for hours. A round about route might be worth it to get past a problem.
